Athletics, also called track-and-field sports or track and field, a variety of competitions in running, walking, jumping, and throwing events. Although these contests are called track and field in the United States, they are generally designated as athletics elsewhere. Athletics have become the most truly international of sports, with nearly every country in the world engaging in some form of competition.  Most nations send teams of men and women to the Olympic Games and to the official World Championships of track and field. And we all know the charisma and glamour that goes beyond legendary 100m sprinters such as Usain Bolt. Within running, we have sprint, mid distance and long distance running along with hurdles. Within jumping events, we have long jump, high jump, triple jump and pole vault. Within throwing events we have hammer throw, discus throw, javelin throw and shot put. Moreover we have various combination events such as steeple chase, triathlon, heptathlon, and decathlon. Hence  the field of track and field sport itself is really vast.

For young kids and beginners, the most popular forms of track and field that we work on at our athletics club are sprints, long jump, shotput and discus throw. These are excellent events to get introduced to this amazing world of athletics. And then the promising players can find their strength and niche events. We have coaches who are certified by NIS and who have represented their states in the national level.
